Job Description:
We are seeking a PIV Database Engineer who will be responsible for providing engineering services in support of an enterprise-wide environment in one of the Federal Government's largest civilian agency. Emphasis of the position will be on developing a Proof of Concept (POC) to analyze HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) user logon data, to determine organizational hierarchy to accurately group users by supervisor and to generate a regular report indicating user PIV logon activity.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information technology support services contract for the SSA.
Description of Work:
- Analyze and gather requirements for the POC including available logon data, agency hierarchy data, and manager to employee correlation
- Develop documentation of data sources, data correlation, manager to user mapping, and report generation methodology
- Build prototype reporting tool / reports
- Conduct presentation and final delivery of an automated reporting tool / reports displaying to managers their specific employee's PIV logon activity (PIV logon vs PIN / PW logon) for a specified period
- Develop detailed report and data documentation suitable for supporting future maintenance or report update.
- Ensure that SSA programs have appropriate levels of security in place to separate (air gap) NGC and SSA data. Ensure that SSA data is not compromised on NGC systems. Enforce all HIPAA compliance requirements on all NGC-owned assets. Harden NGC systems appropriately to ensure all security requirements are enforced. Become knowledgeable on the HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities.
- Master's Degree and 5 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of experience, or 11 years of relevant work experience creating and developing correlated data, automated reporting, and necessary resource repositories from technical requirements in lieu of the degree
- 5 years of experience identifying and correlating data to achieve a desired reporting result, and building automated reporting.
- Experience developing data diagrams, data modeling, and workflow designs
- Experience in documenting meeting minutes and conducting presentations/training sessions
- Proficient in MS Office, SQL, MS Visio, and SharePoint
