Job Description:
Sharps Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Audit Analyst who is a self-starter, highly organized and has a strong drive for quality and continuous process improvement. This position will perform quality review of established Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and artifacts.
Description of Work:
- Conduct artifact audits and process reviews by gathering and examining evidence and conducting interviews to ensure compliance with established project management and system development life cycle policies and procedures.
- Document and communicate audit findings and corrective action recommendations to project management and QA management
- Participate in QA Representative Team and Change Control Board meetings to provide feedback regarding current QA and project lifecycle processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop reports and presentations in MS Office and conduct briefings to project stakeholders and management
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant work experience. OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of relevant work experience. OR
- 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree in IT / Software engineering
- 7 years relevant work experience in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (such as Agile or Waterfall models)
- 3 years of experience performing process reviews, artifact audits or requirements compliance assessments for waterfall or Agile projects
- Proficient with MS Office
- Able to obtain a Position of Public Trust designation
- Experience working in industry’s best practice project management, SDLC, and QA Audit framework and tools, and process improvement models such as ISO9000 and CMMI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Managed critical IT / software development projects to completion
- Experience performing QA software engineering reviews , project artifact audits, or best practice assessments in a federal government setting
- Experience with SDLC Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies in a federal government setting
- Certification in Project Management, Agile, QA, or Business Process Improvement is a plus
- Experience using MS Visio, SharePoint, Version One, CA Clarity PPM, and/or HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) is a plus
- Prior SSA experience is a plus
